The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints established as a tradition in the Caribbean Area the holding of an Annual Community Service Activity, under the theme 'Hands and Hearts.' This is why this Saturday, October 29, 2022, thousands of Latter-day Saints from different stakes, wards, and branches of the Caribbean Area will join in a charitable effort to provide selfless service in places in their community.
The initiative is named after the scripture found in Mosiah 2:17 (Book of Mormon), which states that serving others is serving God. through this project, we work with our hands to serve others, but you also put your heart into the work to serve God at the same time. Bahamas, Jamaica, Guyana, Puerto Rico, St. Vincent, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, and St. Lucia, will be the countries that will be an active part of the various service initiatives at the regional level.
