The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has established as a tradition in the Caribbean Area the accomplishment of an annual community service activity, the International Day of Service, this year it will have the theme “Helping Hands.”

The initiative owes its name to the scripture found in Mosiah 2:17 (Book of Mormon), which states that serving others is serving God; Through this project, you work with your hands to serve others, but you also put your heart into the work to serve God at the same time.
